His promotion sees him heading up the firm’s fleet of vans and drivers, arranging pick-ups and deliveries while bringing in local, national and world-wide customers from the firm’s office in Crick.
Russell, 36, said, “I started out as a courier driver because I enjoy driving work and appreciate the variety of delivering items people urgently need, and over the years working with NX Courier I’ve brought Moto GP riders’ helmets to Donnington Park, passports to holiday makers at airports and even a tonne of gin to Ascot on race day.
“No two days are ever the same here, which helps keep the job fresh and fun even when it’s busy, and though I’m now more deskbound in my new role due to my extra responsibilities, the sheer variety of customers we meet and items we deliver remains – in fact it’s increasing all the time as the company grows. And I still manage to get out in the van from time to time!”
