As a proud privately-owned business, supporting the MND Association is a cause especially close to the heart of our managing director, Neil Powell, and his family.
This week marks a proud milestone for us as we unveiled bold new branding across nine of our 12‑tonne vehicles. These eye‑catching designs will help our fleet stand out on the road while raising awareness of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and supporting vital fundraising for the UK’s largest MND charity.

These vehicles, which make up the backbone of our 31-strong fleet, travel an average of 60,000 miles every year, securely delivering products on behalf of our clients. By adding MND Association branding to our fleet, we hope to keep the conversation about Motor Neurone Disease going wherever our vehicles travel.
Neil’s connection to MND is deeply personal, he says,
“My grandmother died from MND more than 40 years ago,” Neil explains. “As a business, and as a family, we have supported this amazing cause with adverts for the charity having previously appeared on our vehicles. We’ve also held countless fundraising events over the years.”
The partnership means a lot to the MND Association, too. Relationship fundraiser Roger Widdecombe says,
“We are incredibly grateful to The NX Group for choosing to support the MND Association in this way – the lorries look incredible and the money raised will really help to drive our work forward. About Motor Neurone Disease
Motor neurone disease (MND) is a fatal, rapidly progressing neurological disease. Today six people will be diagnosed with MND, and six people will die from the disease. There is no cure.
MND attacks and damages the nerves which take messages to the muscles. Within months a person may lose their voice, their movement and, ultimately, their ability to breathe. Some people experience changes in thinking and behaviour. MND doesn’t affect sight, hearing or touch.
A third of people die within a year of diagnosis, and more than half within two years. It affects people from all backgrounds, of all ages although MND is more prevalent in men, and a person’s risk increases as they get older.
More than 5,000 people in the UK are living with MND at any one time.
