The NX Group brought customers, partners and colleagues together on 25th September for a day that combined great golf, great company and a great cause. Our Charity Golf Day, held at Staverton Park Golf Club, raised an impressive £1,825 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MND Association) – thanks to the generosity of everyone who took part.
A Day on the Course for a Cause That Matters
From bacon sandwiches on arrival to friendly competition across the fairways, the event offered plenty of opportunities for teams to connect, unwind and enjoy the day. After the round, guests came together for a relaxed meal, presentations and a charity raffle – with prizes kindly donated from across our network.
Every contribution – from taking part to donating raffle prizes – helped us raise vital funds for the MND Association, supporting its work to improve care, provide support and fund research for people affected by motor neurone disease.
“A Real Success”
Managing Director Neil Powell said: “Bringing our customers, partners and colleagues together made the golf day a real success. Their generosity, along with the support of our prize donors, helped us raise an excellent amount for a cause that truly matters to us.”

Part of Our Ongoing Commitment to MNDA
Our Charity Golf Day is just one part of NX’s wider commitment to supporting the MND Association. This year, members of our team also took part in the London Marathon, and we unveiled MND Association branding across nine of our 12‑tonne vehicles to help raise awareness on roads across the UK.
The MND Association, based in Northampton, is the UK’s largest charity dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by motor neurone disease – a cause close to our hearts.
If you’d like to support our fundraising efforts, you can donate through our JustGiving page: NX Group – Delivering Hope, Driving Change for MNDA.
About Motor Neurone Disease
Motor neurone disease (MND) is a fatal, rapidly progressing neurological disease. Today six people will be diagnosed with MND, and six people will die from the disease. There is no cure.
MND attacks and damages the nerves which take messages to the muscles. Within months a person may lose their voice, their movement and, ultimately, their ability to breathe. Some people experience changes in thinking and behaviour. MND doesn’t affect sight, hearing or touch.
A third of people die within a year of diagnosis, and more than half within two years. It affects people from all backgrounds, of all ages although MND is more prevalent in men, and a person’s risk increases as they get older.
More than 5,000 people in the UK are living with MND at any one time.
