eCommerce is one of our busiest departments, with orders coming in to be processed throughout the day for our various customers. Our dedicated team are situated in the eCommerce area of our warehouse facility. Orders are placed online, and the fully integrated IT systems process the order from the website into our order run system. From here, the team print off the specific order run for each customer, ready for pick & pack.
Pick & Pack
Our team pick each item from the organised shelving of stock, matching up each item and quantity to the order. Barcode readers are used for accuracy on orders, scanning each item during the picking process. Where gift wrapping or adding samples etc. is required, the team will ensure this is completed. All packing is kept in line with the customer brand values.
As orders are completed, the team then arranges the postage as per the order and customer requirements. Postage labels are printed and added to each order, then passed over to the delivery team who send the parcels out.
Alongside processing orders, the team also carry out stock checks, keep the Warehouse Management System fully up to date, and keep the eCommerce area of the warehouse tidy. Within the eCommerce area of the warehouse the team will also process any returns on behalf of our customers.
Our customers contact the eCommerce team with any queries, updates to services or for any other information. Sometimes customers may request inventory updates, delivery information or something similar, the eCommerce team are on hand to help with any of these questions.
